This position is responsible for preparation, operation, and cleaning of the lamination machine to meet production goals and ensure safety, quality, and cleanliness of the department.

This position is responsible for knowing how to prepare and run both the entry and exit ends of the machine and basic knowledge of console operation in absence of the Team Leader. Primary responsibilities include: •Preparing and setting up foam, fabric, and scrim for operation (i.e. setting up scrim to standard point; cutting foam and foam jointing) •Setting up and operating the trimming device (i.e. setting width of trimmers as needed) •Setting up the accumulator •Cleaning the machine-including front and back burners for style change overs •Operating and cleaning cans; scraping and re-taping as needed •Performing quality checks at the back of the take-up end •Organizing the fabrics staging area and pulling full horses to lamination room and keeping aligned and in proper staging area •Operating fork lift •Pulling completed A-frames/I-beams to inspection area for final inspection •Pulling empty A-Frames to lamination •Cleaning up scrap, dumping garbage, and keeping foam area straight and in order •Baling trim waste •Assisting the foam receiving person when needed •Operate backside machine •Any other duty or task as may be requested by immediate supervisor

High school degree or equivalent preferred •Somewhat important to have good written communication skills •Somewhat important to have good verbal communication skills •Must have ability to work well without close supervision •Must have good organizational skills
