This position will be responsible to create production schedules in Dyeing and Finishing plant.
• Input daily assign vs monthly production plan • Create schedules for next work day(s) for in-house and import Open, Dye, Frames, Print, Bond, Lamination • Assign greige and/or import batches as needed to follow Daily MRP, without exceeding the month’s production plan. Provide batch cards to necessary personnel. • Work with Production to resolve machine/manpower issues to meet material requirements on time • Have a thorough understanding of the Seiryu system • Basic knowledge of all processes in the Dyeing and Finishing plant • Must work well with Department managers, R&D, etc. • Work to keep process flow level, avoid leaving machines or processes empty while others are backed up. Maintain correct Work In Process inventory • Reduce changeovers and maintain a FIFO system. • Learn and observe the retention times for applicable materials • Present schedules in the daily meeting with Production team members, and then print and handout approved schedules to necessary personnel • Attend meetings as required with Sales Planning to review if materials will meet shipping requirements on time • All schedules are made to advance smoothly. • Change batch information in the process if necessary and process Batch Change Request forms • Other duties as requested by management.
• High school degree or equivalent required • Very important to have good written and verbal communication skills • Good decision-making skills • Must have good organizational skills and have ability to work well without close supervision • Must possess strong analysis/problem solving skills and have a high level of mathematical ability • Must have basic computer skills. Microsoft Office.
