Summary:

This position is responsible for loading the yarn into the creels, stripping the empty cones and tying new packages in. Also responsible for checking the creel load paperwork against the warping creel load paperwork making sure all the yarn is correct. Calculating the creel waste and recording. Repacking any yarn that needs to go back in inventory and recording.


Description:

• Load yarn into creels as specified per Warping style S.O.P and hanging instructions on Creel Completion Form, if any • Strip empty cones off of the creel when creel load is complete and dispose of them in their designated areas • Disposal and/or recycling of any yarn packing materials. • Checking the creel load against the Warping creel load list before loading the creel to verify that all the yarn has been loaded into the creel as specified and that all the yarn is correct. • Repacking yarn back onto storage units to go back into inventory and documenting the quantity and weight. • Calculating creel waste and documenting the weight of all the yarn waste. • Cutting out the ends after a creel load is finished. • Flipping the creel, if required. • Tying in new packages for the next creel load and checking the knots. • Making sure that all the new packages are aligned correctly on “Transfer” type creels. • Housekeeping including sweeping any yarn that was cut during tying in around the creels. • Perform other duties as requested by the Warping Team Leader/Warping Supervisor. **$1500 SIGN ON BONUS** **MEDICAL AND DENTAL - NO COST TO EMPLOYEE ONLY**


Qualification:

• High school degree or equivalent preferred • Somewhat important to have good written & verbal communication skills • Somewhat important to have low-level decision making skills • Somewhat important to have good organizational skills and the ability to work well without close supervision • Somewhat important to have basic mathematical ability • Somewhat important to have low-level analysis/problem solving skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
