Raw Material Team Leader

Summary:

This position requires the updating of reports, issuing in inventory system, receiving goods, and processing orders for Raw Materials. The personnel will look for improvements in current workflow, and solutions to reoccurring problems. This position will be in charge of coordinating teamwork of up to 5 people on a daily basis.


Description:

• Processes and initiates Raw Material purchase orders for approval. • Sends purchase orders to Raw Material suppliers • Enters Raw Material receiving into SAP system • Maintains consistency of entries into SAP system. • Enters usage information into SAP utilizing production order number and/or labels, matching with information provided from SNA MFG System • Support to unload/load trucks with raw material • Support waste recycling room • Support label raw material • Monthly cycle count • Warehouse 7S • Implement timely movement to secure empty trailers for vendor pickup • Maintain a daily check list for fork trucks and keep propane tanks filled as needed• • Support dyehouse with dyestuff and chemical for production • Formats and maintains current Raw Material order spreadsheet • Reports any errors from the SAP system • Records the material document for each SAP transaction • Manually modify any uncompleted purchase order to complete and close the order • Controls the movement and loading of wooden pallets on trailers and trash in dumpsters on a daily basis • Provides photographic evidence of damage material received outside of SNA • Fills out Bill of Ladings (BOL’s) for incoming/outgoing shipments • Manages FIFO at all times and on all job-related products • Takes extra responsibilities during supervisors’ absence. • Assist in Supervisor’s Month End responsibility • Ensure safety, quality, productivity and 7s around machines and department • Develop a positive team effort for continuous improvement • Ensure efficiency and teamwork throughout the department • Complete all paperwork and follow production schedules • Takes extra responsibilities during employees’ absence. • Trains new employees in safety and quality procedures • Trains or assists new employees for Raw Materials/Procurement department. • Performs other duties as required to support Raw Material and other department goals • Perform other duties as requested by Department Supervisor and continued support of departmental goals **MEDICAL AND DENTAL - NO COST TO EMPLOYEE ONLY**


Qualification:

QUALIFICATIONS: • High school degree or equivalent and 1-3 years of work-related experience • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word • Must be have excellent organization, and customer service skills • Must have ability to work in a fast-paced environment under high stress situations • Must have the ability to multi-task and work well without close supervision • Very important to have excellent written and verbal skills • Must have high level mathematical ability, and have strong analysis /problem solving skills • Must be capable of making low level decisions SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has up to 5 people direct reports. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. The employee will work in a plant environment with a moderate noise level.
