This position is responsible to operate the warping machines in the warping department and also the Circular knit machines


Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible to run yarn onto beams and have knowledge of which specific size beams need to be used. • Responsible for keeping the warper running consistently by doffing the beams and fixing end breaks. • Responsible for reloading yarn on the creel as needed to keep the warper running. • Responsible for filling out the checklist at the beginning of the shift and checking each item with the warper to ensure proper functionality. • Responsible for helping in the creels when the need arises or when requested by warping team leader/warping supervisor. • Responsible for keeping the area around the warper head and the creel clean and free of trash with excess yarn packages stored in their designated area. • Responsible for letting the team leader/supervisor know if any more yarn is needed to complete the creel load. • Responsible for entering the correct data for each beam into the computer while doffing and saving the creel load upon completion to update the inventory. • Responsible for setting up the warping machine according to the SOP for the appropriate style. • Responsible for filling out beam related paperwork and making sure it is organized accordingly • Responsible for running the circular knit machines. • Responsible for checking circular knit machines quality and notifying team leader or supervisor of any quality issues. • Responsible for keeping the area around the circular knit machines clean and free of trash. • Responsible for creeling the circular knit machines • Perform other duties as requested by the warping team leader/Supervisor of the warping department. • Responsible for following all safety and quality standards set forth by the company.


Qualification:

QUALIFICATIONS: • High school degree or equivalent preferred • Somewhat important to have good written & verbal communication skills • Somewhat important to have low-level decision making skills • Very important to have good organizational skills and the ability to work well without close supervision • Very important to have basic mathematical ability • Important to have good analysis/problem solving skills • Somewhat important to have basic computer skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
