This position is primarily responsible for servicing inspectors and roll goods prior to and after inspection.
Properly begin fabric roll up onto core/tube according to SOP • Obtain necessary fabric cuts (i.e. for customer swatches, physical testing, and various department uses.) • Verify ticket with current fabric being inspected and place in tube. • Place completed rolls on conveyor system. • Pull rolls for import opening, as needed. • Sew ends of rolls together, as necessary. • Transfer material from roll form to horse using turning machine. • Move material on horse/A-frame to lamination, as needed. • Perform 7S (daily cleaning and organizing of work area) • Perform any other duties directed by Team Leader or Supervisor.
High school degree or equivalent preferred • Somewhat important to have good written and verbal communication skills • Somewhat important to have low and high level making skills along with organizational and customer service skills • Must have some ability to work well without close supervision • Somewhat important to have a high level of mathematical skills and strong analysis/problem solving skills • Able to cross-train to wrapper position and fill-in as needed • Able to obtain forklift license
